Welcome!

The Armagh City Hotel will host this years Armagh Charity Ball on Saturday 29th March 2008, in support of the local Alzhiemer's Society.

Our previous Charity Balls have raised £18,000 for the RVH Childrens Cancer Unit and £23,000 for Cystic Fibrosis NI.

Armagh Charity Ball 2008

A night of entertainment and fun will include a drinks reception accompanied by local Harpist Roisin Murphy, a sumptuous meal, followed by a formal Gala Ball. Back by popular demand following their success at a previous Ball, well known band Luv Bug, will provide the entertainment. Mary McConville and her fellow committee members hope that the generosity of the people of Armagh, as well as the local business community will make the night a huge success. There will be a chance to bid on some much sought after items during the proceedings.

"We would like to promote this event as an evening of entertainment, ' the Mardi Gras of Charity Balls'. Forget the speeches and yawning faces, Armagh's charity ball of the year will be an extravaganza of socialising, wining, dining and dancing the night away - whilst at the same time, helping to raise vital funds for this worthy cause "

Why it's happening

Alzheimer's Society

Between 50 and 70 percent of all people with dementia are suffering from Alzheimer's disease - a degenerative disease, which slowly and progressively destroys brain cells. All profits gained from this night will be donated to the LOCAL Alzheimer's Society and will help support the recently appointed community support worker. Read More (Pdf 121kb)
